Thank you for your interest in the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Within this section of our website you will find information on the qualifications to become a member of our great Fraternity:

Collegiate membership in Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is limited to college men who are attending and working toward obtaining a baccalaureate degree at a recognized college or university and have completed at least one grading period and have obtained a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA based on a four point scale.

History

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C., January 9, 1914, by three young African-American male students. The Founders, Honorable A. Langston Taylor, Honorable Leonard F. Morse, and Honorable Charles I. Brown, wanted to organize a Greek letter fraternity that would truly exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service.
